Staff Achievements - 2017

[ November 2017 ]

A collaborative of Studio Florian Schätz and industry partners has been awarded top ten for the International Architectural Design Competition of the former railway area in Landshut, Germany. The 3.87ha masterplan offers 32.000m2 GFA with 350 units, social housing, f&b outlets, community centre and a service hotel. The design responds to the 90 dB(A) noise pollution from the main station with a 450m long urban sound barrier integrating mixed-use, work lofts, residential and commercial real estate. Eleven multi-family residential villas arranged in a garden offer great views to the old town and the Isar Nature Reserve towards the south. Two higher volumes frame the site as urban prelude and epilogue. The exhibition of the project is open to the public till Nov 2017 at the Großen Rathausgalerie in Landshut.
