The CASA Library offers a diverse collection of more
than 800 architecture-related publications to
encourage and support scholarly pursuits and
research activities of the faculty members and
research students in the Department.
Opening Hours:
9 am - 5 pm, Mondays - Fridays.
RULES &
REGULATIONS
- Borrowers must
not remove publications from the Department of
Architecture's General Office before they are
duly registered with Ms Brenda Foo (CASA).
- Borrowers are
held responsible for the loans signed out in
their names.
- Borrowers will
be held responsible for any mutilations found in
the CASA Library publications when returned.
- They must
check and report any mutilations before
accepting the loan.
- Borrowers must
return or renew their loans when due.
- The maximum
loan period for each publication is 2 weeks for
students and 4 weeks for faculty & staff. A
maximum of 5 books per person can be borrowed at
any one time.
- All
publications must be returned when recalled.
- Borrowers who
damage / lose publications loan to them are
liable to pay for the cost of replacement plus
processing charges of $10.00 per book, excluding
5% GST. An additional 100% surcharge will also
be imposed if they are found to be
irreplaceable.
PHOTOCOPYING RULES
Conditions for
photocopying
- All
photocopies of Works must be for the purpose of
private study and research.
- Only one
photocopy of any Work shall be made.
Limitations for
photocopy
- Published
books : not more than one chapter or 10% of the
number of pages thereof (whichever is more).
- Periodicals :
not more than one Article or more than 10% of
the number of pages thereof (whichever is more)
subject always to the restriction that if more
than one Article in a Periodical is to be
photocopied, such Article must relate to the
same subject matter.
What may NOT be
photocopied
- Works
categorized as 'Restricted' such as rare books,
journals and manuscripts and works supplied to
CASA Library on the understanding that they
would not be reproduced without written consent
of the copyright owner.
RETURNS
- Loan items can
be returned from 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to
Friday.
