ARCHIVING THE ANAESTHETISED LANDSCAPE – POSTCARDS FROM SINGAPORE TO SINGAPORE

The thesis was a critique on Singapore’s landscape as an anaesthetized one, where selective history, and memory, is kept, and where the future constantly displaces the past before the ripening of the present.

The archive of Singapore has to be resuscitated, as an entity that documents and expands the discretion of archiving, and as a physical body that archives the transformations in its landscapes; archive as architecture, archive as document, archive as mnemonic.
