THE FLOATING CITY
The thesis proposes the Marina South Finance and Business District as a flooded quarter after a self-consuming act responding to the stoppage of sand supply.
A system of earth subtraction takes place on the reclaimed site to form canals, with extracted material strategically redistributed and re-used, to enlarge the Marina Bay freshwater reserves with increase in absolute national size and usable space.
A varied hydrological urban situation is carved out with an inversion of the typical skyscraper model.
