Prof Steffen Lehmann

 

'Eco-Communities and Eco-Buildings: Sustainability in Urban Design'

Professor Steffen Lehmann is the Chair and Professor of Architecture at the Queensland University of Technology, the Director of Research Cluster at s_Lab Space Laboratory, and Director and Principal Designer of Steffen Lehmann Architekten BDA.  As an urban design consultant, he also serves on panels and acts as juror in competitions.  He is an active member of advisory boards and is advisor to local communities and the local government.

In the last twelve years, the work of Steffen Lehmann has been honoured with several architecture and competition awards, and is renowned for its high level of enquiry, design sophistication and material sensitivity. His work is widely published internationally, and has been shown in solo exhibitions at the Aedes Architecture Gallery in Berlin, the Bauhaus in Dessau, Brisbane, London, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dresden, Sao Paulo, New Delhi, United Arab Emirates and Tunis. He has collaborated as design leader with well-known companies based in Tokyo, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai and Brisbane. He has also been invited as keynote speaker at international conferences and lecture programs in the USA, England, Australia, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Tunis and China
