Students Volunteered
in Community Work - Murals for Alexandra Hospital receive
excellent feedback
The Architectural Society (TAS) led a group of architecture
students, from various cohorts, in the design and painting of
two murals for Alexandra Hospital (AH) during the term break.
The murals featured elements of nature which reflect the theme
of AH in creating a “healing sanctuary”. One of the murals
depicted a sea of sunflowers in sunglasses while the other
created an abstraction of some of the 80 species of butterflies
in the Hospital’s Butterfly Trail.
The murals received
excellent feedbacks from both the AH staff and patients.
