	Mr Cheah Kok Ming received the University's Annual Teaching Excellence Award for AY2007-2008. The Award is given by the University to recognize faculty members who have demonstrated a very high level of commitment to, and achievement of, good teaching. Selection is based on peer and student feedback and information received from teaching portfolios.

	[ February 2009 ]
	Dr Chen Yu’s The Making of a Bund in China: The British Concession in Xiamen has won the JAABE Best Paper Award 2008 (Architectural History and Theory field), February 09. This award is presented to the outstanding papers published in JAABE (Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering), one paper per field, jointly by the Architectural Institute of Japan, Architectural Institute of Korea and Architectural Society of China. JAABE is a refereed international journal published biannually in May and November.
